Communication and media expert Howard Rheingold interviews SHERYL GRANT about the themes and aspirations of the 2011 Digital Media and Learning Conference in Long Beach, CA, Mar. 3-5, 2011. Grant, who is director of Social Networking for the national and international HASTAC/MacArthur Foundation Digital Media & Learning Competition and a doctoral student at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill's School of Information and Library Science, is on the conference committee and is working on the social media component of the conference, as well as helping to curate work from the winners of the 2010 DML Competition.
